After discovering I had made a mistake the day after I took out the policy I managed to get a non premium rate number (it costs over £1.00 to call them) and contacted them to explain what I had done. I was advised to cancel the policy and take out a new one which I did but had to pay the deposit again over £200 and was told it would be back in my account in 2 - 3 days. After several mails and having to return documents they sent after I had cancelled I eventually got my money back over 4 weeks later.
In the mean time they then proceeded to take a month’s instalment from both the current and cancelled policy which then incurred bank charges which they have refused to refund even though it was their fault. I am still waiting for a refund of the instalment 5 days later after being told it had been refunded.
They answer emails as and when they feel like it. The standard of customer service is appalling I just hope I don't need to make a claim.
