I have had Homeserve cover for approx 5 years and have rarley not had a problem whenever I have required their services
As most companies now Homesearve don't have their own work force and tender out jobs - enough said. I have put up with poor service for many years but my patience was finally pushed when they arrived at one of my properties to give me an annual safety check for the next 12 months.
When the service man left he left the property with a gas leak. My tenants returned to a home full of gas and had to call the gas board out to fix the leak. On raising a complaint with Homeserve informing them I was disgusted with their service they informed me they took my complaint seriously and would look into it.
Fast forward two weeks and I am told the engineer was not at fault and the leak must have coincidently started after he had left and there is nothing they could do. If this was an isolated incident I might give them the benefit of the doubt, but it wasnt.
The engineers they use are useless and uncaring and Homeserve customer service leaves a lot to be desired. It is quite obvious the leak didn't happen after the engineer left but obviously that is too serious to own to, better deny and pass the blame.
