If I could give them a minus star rating I would. This is the absolute WORST insurance company I have EVER had the misfortune to encounter. They are incompetent, unhelpful, rude, disorganised and just TERRIBLE.
I was with ibuyeco car insurance for 1 year and if I could have cancelled after 1 week I would have! They operate in a million different departments, with a million different phone numbers, (half of which don't work) and despite supposedly being run by the same company, they seem have to NO knowledge of each other. It is completely impossible to make one phone call to get information, you have to call several different departments (when they "transfer" you, 9 out of 10 times I was cut off!!!).
They have lax customer security (I provided the incorrect postcode and the operator proceeded to provide my personal details anyway). If you wish to make any change to your policy, no matter how insignificant, (even just to make a payment!) they WILL charge you in excess of £25.00, EVEN THOUGH they do not even send you paper confirmation of the change.
They do not contact you when they say they will. They are unprofessional and I am shocked that they continue to do business. I WISH I had googled ibuyeco before I took out my insurance, as it seems that everyone has the same experience of them! I would have happily paid more to avoid the stress, confusion, and inconvenience I experienced because of them.
