Six months after submitting my claim for a no fault accident caused by a Local Authority vehicle, I am still trying to get the full amount of money owed to me (Excess witheld).
Each phone call costs due to their use of 0845 numbers for all calls.
Each call takes ages, as nobody takes responsibility and you are always passed to somebody else who is dealing with claim.. only they aren't.
Given countless excuses, including the telephone number for the Local Authorities Insurance Company is unobtainable. The number I had worked!
Having spent 4 months getting nowhere except excuses I obtained an e-mail from Local Authority confirming their insurance company had admitted liability.
Sent details to LV. Was advised that they would write a letter and chase after 14 days. Left it a month but once again, somebody else had been dealing with it who was out of the office, so raised an official complaint.
Letter from complaints department saying they would look into and contact me within 2 weeks - they didn't contact me.
Left it a further 2 weeks (so 1 month since complaint) and called again on 0845 number (more cost per minute).
Apparently complaints had handed the case to somebody else - they would call me back.
It transpired that the people they had handed it to did nothing - 1 month after my complaint about poor service, that person then allocated another person to look into it as a result of my call.
This is how it goes with Liverpool Victoria.
Nobody deals with a problem, they shuffle it from one person to another, and when you manage to follow it down the chain at your next call, they then pass it to somebody else. Meanwhile they earn money from your telephone calls.
