My daughter took out a new contract with TMobile but as she is a student I agreed to pay the monthly bill. At the same time as we took out the contract, we took out insurance with fonesafe. When the bills are received, they include both our names, my daughter as the phone user and me as the bill payer.
At the weekend she dropped her phone down the toilet by accident. I spent all day Monday trying to get hold of an agent for fonesafe and when they finally called me back and I explained the story, they said "Your claim is declined as you didn't name your daughter as the main user of the phone". I explained about the bill etc and the fact that I never used the phone and only paid it on my daughter's behalf but they would not budge!
A waste of time having the insurance - luckily when I phoned TMobile to explain, their customer services officer was extremely heplful. Having read many of the comments about fonesafe, its a wonder anyone takes out insurance with them! Is ther anything they DO pay out for???! Parents please note.
