Customer Review Comments:

We took out Vets Medicover insurance for our dog Rusty in February of this year after a more than 100% price hike from our prevous insurers AA (we had never made a claim but Rusty was approaching his 8th birthday). It wasn't the cheapest policy but I liked the sound of it ie. not lots of extra features we would probably never need.

To cut a long story short, about 2 months into the insurance Rusty had what appeared to be toothache, we put this down to the fact he had been chewing a bone and waited to see how he went. After a week or so he was obviously in discomfort so we took him to the vet who said that he needed a front tooth removing (in the event they took out 3 front teeth) we read through our policy and saw that as long as his teeth had been examined by a vet in the last year and no treatment was needed that he was indeed covered for this.

The underwriters are a company called Jubilee Services Solutions and getting a claim form from them was a terrible job - at least 2 got lost in the post apparently, and emails for me to download the form never materialised.

Finally after 2 weeks I got the form, completed our section, took it to the vets who within a few days had made out a report, of which we have a copy, and we thought that was that but today after another 2 weeks we have a letter from Jubilee saying that they have written to our vet requesting a report.

Jubilee seem to be completely inept and their right hand doesn't seem to know what their left hand is doing. We will contact our vet again but I know that this report has been sent.

I am very disillusioned with this company.

Good Points: Good down to earth cover
Bad Points: Underwriters hopeless to deal with

VetsMediCover no longer use Jubilee and use another administrator which has speeded up the claims process.
